Sarah Andrew from Selador Wines will be hosting the blind tasting component of her research project (WSET Honours), linked to the Cabernet Leaders Award Scholarship.  She has travelled around Australia, and hosted this tasting for general public and trade.  Two tastings in Melbourne in March have been set up to target media / journalists / wine trade professionals.

Crucial to Sarah’s research is gaining input from as many wine industry professionals (sommeliers, wine buyers, sales, marketing, wine distribution, wholesale and retail).  In addition the input from journalists and media will be crucial so the invitation is extended to these professionals as well.

Wine trade participants to date have enjoyed the tasting but numbers are still low so your input is essential.  The tasting will take only 20 minutes and is set up as a drop in event so no appointment is necessary.

If you have any queries please contact Sarah on 0414 541 254 or email sarah@seladorwines.com

On Sunday 22 June, Langhorne Creek Grape and Wine are coming to Melbourne for the first time to celebrate their recent promotion to official wine show status.

To celebrate they are hosting a ticketed consumer event that will aim to showcase the top 100 award winning wines from the region.

Using the theme of ‘discovery’, the event is going to be held at the Arteveneta workshop in Prahran. Guests will first collect their stemless ‘glass’, then meander on a journey of discovery through the workshop where they will find representatives of the region and their wines perched on work benches, tables, etc. all eager to tell their story and remove the shroud of mystery surrounding the region.

Guests will have the opportunity to mingle, explore the wines, enjoy some beautiful food from Italian restaurant The Way San Jose, relax with DJ beats and wile away the afternoon surrounded by like-minded, wine curious individuals. The ticket price is $35 and available for sale via a dedicated and customized ticketing site.
