Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence

To supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $6,000) 

For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor. (Penalty exceeds $500)


We offer both the A+ Australian Wine course and

WSET Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4

This one day wine course, endorsed by Wine Australia will provide professionals and enthusiasts with an increased understanding of Australian wines focusing on the major varieties and regions.  A multiple choice / short answer exam at the end of the course will enable you to receive an official certificate issued by Wine Australia.

The course will cover:

  • History and development of the Australian wine industry
  • Viticulture & vinification
  • Key regional wine styles
  • Tasting benchmark Australian wines (white, red and fortified)

WSET - Wine and Spirit Education Trust

The London based Wine & Spirits Education Trust was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits.  The following international courses are available in Melbourne and Bendigo:

WSET Certificate Level 1 Award in Wines

Six hours - one day

This entry level course will provide you with a basic knowledge of wine production and service, beneficial for work within the hospitality industry.  There is a wine tasting component to this course.


WSET Certificate Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits

Part-time or three day intensive course

Suited to those working in the industry, this course will develop your international knowledge of wines and spirits and tasting technique.


WSET Certificate Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits

Evening, part-time or one day per week over eight weeks

Learn more about wines and spirits from around the world. Wine tasting is part of every session, along with the evaluation of quality in wine.  Wine trade experience is recommended and or intermediate wine knowledge.


WSET Diploma Level 4 Diploma in Wines & Spirits

126 hours over two years

The WSET Level 3 is a prerequisite for commencing the Diploma.  This course provides specialist knowledge of the wines and spirits around the world.  Market trends and global knowledge will be required along with developing a high level of tasting ability.
